Son Ye-jin (born January 11, 1982) is a South Korean actress.
Son Ye-jin has taken on a variety of roles in her career to date, propelling her to fame both in Korea and in other Asian countries. She first appeared in a supporting role in Park Ki-hyung's film Secret Tears in 2000, and then went on to take the lead in TV dramas such as Delicious Proposal, Sun-hee and Jin-hee, and Daemang: Great Ambition. Her first high-profile role in cinema was in Im Kwon-taek's Chi-hwa-seon, which screened at Cannes and took home a Best Director award in 2002.

The biggest success of her early career was in the subsequent films Lovers' Concerto and The Classic. Both were solid mid-level hits in Korea, and The Classic in particular—being a work of My Sassy Girl director Kwak Jae-yong -- received wide exposure in countries such as Hong Kong and China.

Son further solidified her status as a "hallyu" (Korean wave) star in 2003 by taking the lead in TV drama Summer Scent, a part of the hugely successful series of TV dramas including Autumn Love Story and Winter Sonata (though this drama would not attract the attention of the previous two). Her next two films also proved to be huge hits in Asia: A Moment to Remember, based on a famous Japanese TV series, set box office records in Japan and sold over two million tickets in Korea, while April Snow in which she co-starred with superstar Bae Yong-joon was also a smash hit in Japan and China (though not, incidentally, in Korea).

Son's most recent work sees her cast off her nice girl image. She took on the roles of a con artist in The Art of Seduction, an ambitious reporter in Spotlight, a femme fatale in Open City, and a divorcée in the critically acclaimed 2006 TV drama Alone in Love opposite Gam Woo-sung. In 2008, her portrayal of a polyandrous woman in My Wife Got Married bagged her Best Actress honors from the prestigious Blue Dragon Film Awards and other local award-giving bodies.

After filming the dark mystery White Night, Son wanted to do a more fun project, so Son Ye-jin chose the romantic comedy Personal Taste, followed by the supernatural love story Spellbound (Korean title: Chilling Romance). Son Ye-jin next stars in her first blockbuster action flick, Tower, a remake of the 1974 Hollywood film The Towering Inferno.

Aahoo Jahansouz "Sarah" Shahi (born January 10, 1980) is an American actress and a former NFL Cheerleader. Sarah Shahi is probably best known for starring in The L Word as Carmen de la Pica Morales and in Life as Detective Dani Reese. In 2011 Sarah Shahi began playing the role of Kate Reed in the legal drama Fairly Legal on the USA Network.

Sarah Shahi was born and grew up in Euless, Texas. She has an Iranian father, Abbas Shahi, and a Spanish mother, known as Mahmonir, who was an interior designer. Her father's family was forced to leave their homeland two years before the political and social unrest caused by the Islamic Revolution. Her birthname, Aahoo, means "deer" in Persian.

Shahi adopted Sarah as her name in second grade after hearing the song "Sarah" because she was "tormented" by other children, but grew up speaking Persian as well as English at her father's insistence. Shahi's parents began entering her in beauty pageants at the age of eight. Her parents divorced when Sarah Shahi was 10. Shahi attended Trinity High School, where Sarah Shahi was captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, and Dallas' Southern Methodist University, majoring in English and Theater. Shahi won the Miss Fort Worth USA pageant in 1997; hoping to become an actress, Sarah Shahi joined the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders 1999–2000 squad despite not having cheered before, and appeared on the cover of the squad's 2000 calendar before moving to Los Angeles.

While working as an extra on the set of Dr. T and the Women in Texas, Shahi met director Robert Altman, who encouraged her to move to Hollywood, where she received roles in several series, including Alias, Dawson's Creek, Reba, and Supernatural. Sarah Shahi may be best known for her role as DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales on The L Word, which Sarah Shahi joined in its second season. Shahi did not renew her contract with the series for the fourth season, and consequently her character was written out. She also played Farah in the second season of Sleeper Cell, and also appeared in HBO's The Sopranos, in the Season 6b episode "Kennedy and Heidi".

Sarah Shahi co-starred in the short-lived NBC series Life as homicide detective Dani Reese.

In October 2009, Shahi landed the lead role in the USA Network pilot, Facing Kate. Shahi began filming in November 2009. The show follows the life of Kate Reed, a legal mediator who is frustrated with the bureaucracy and injustice Sarah Shahi witnesses in the legal system. The series title was later changed to Fairly Legal.
